Mrs. Mary E. (sic) Doyel, one of the oldest settlers in this country, died at New Market on Sunday at the age of 94. The funeral was from the Indian Creek Baptist Church of which she was a member on Monday. Rev. Cornelius Airhart of Roachdale preached the sermon. The body was interred at Indian Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Doyel was the step mother of Mrs. W.S. Goslin.

Note: Mary A. Doyel on her tombstone and dates are : Oct 8, 1809 - Feb 14, 1904 - believe she is the 2nd wife of Thomas S. Doyel also buried at Indian Creek, 10-6-1802 - 9-20-1883 - anyone know for sure about this family, please let me know :)
